"V" is for Victory! A fun ring featuring a tiny, detailed bronze hand that I sculpted myself. A stainless steel ring band is embedded in the bronze, ensuring durability. The hand is oxidized dark to enhance details, polished to a shine, and protected with durable jeweler’s lacquer. The ring is fully adjustable.
I researched this hand sign and discovered its historical roots: In medieval England, during the Hundred Years’ War, the French would cut off the middle and index fingers of captured English bowmen to prevent them from shooting again. English archers would taunt the French by displaying their intact fingers—a defiant gesture that evolved into today's more offensive meaning.
