"People are strange when you're a stranger"

I feel like the older I get the more "me" I become, spending less energy on limiting my self because of a feeling that it is important to... be "normal", to blend in, to not take up to much space, to not risk people having opinions and maybe judging.

A wise and pretty strange acquaintance of mine said: När någon är annorlunda höjer det taket för alla. Translation: When someone is different it raises the roof for everyone.

A simple true statement I think of from time to time. It is very "normal" to sometimes worry about if you are and if what you do is normal, but as long as you don't hurt someone, allowing your self to be outside the box/"abnormal" might be liberating not only for you but inspiring for others too.
