Lightweight silver bird wing earrings with allergy safe titanium ear hooks. Carved with a feather pattern on both sides, made from sterling silver.
I sculpted these wings inspired by the hauntingly beautiful and tragic pictures (by Nick Brandt) of petrified birds. Unsuspecting animals that choose Lake Natron in Tanzania as a resting place end up staying there eternally. Chemicals in the water turn them to stone.
