"V" is for Victory! A tiny detailed hand making the sign for victory. I make this as a ring and as earrings.
The hand is sculpted in bronze. The ring is adjustable and have a ringband of stainless steel submerged in the bronze when cast. The earrings have titanium hooks.
I researched this hand sign and discovered its historical roots: In medieval England, during the Hundred Years’ War, the French would cut off the middle and index fingers of captured English bowmen to prevent them from shooting again. English archers would taunt the French by displaying their intact fingers—a defiant gesture that evolved into today's more offensive meaning.
